TWO new senior appointments and a significant senior promotion have been announced by real estate consultancy, Naismiths.
Richard Jones joins the consultancy as national head of building consultancy in London, while Rob Garton has been appointed as director of project monitoring in the Midlands. Ross Wilson has also been promoted to director of project monitoring in London, following four successful years at the company.
Richard is a Chartered Surveyor with 28 years of experience spanning all aspects of business leadership, development and management in property, construction and multi-disciplinary firms. He will be taking over from Gareth Belsham, heading up the building consultancy arm of the business to further grow the team, services and profitability.

I have been with Naismiths since 2017 building our reputation as a highly strategic and capable consultancy, driving maximum value from our clients’ developments and built assets. I will step down at the end of the 2023 calendar and look forward to seeing how Richard drives the building consultancy division forward.”
Rob is a RICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor and joins Naismiths with 18 years’ industry experience. With a proven track record of multi-sector construction and property experience, he has more recently headed up project monitoring regionally within a multi-disciplinary consultancy. Rob will lead, support and grow the project monitoring business across the Midlands region.
